Does Sams Club Take Apple Pay?
Sams Club does not currently accept Apple Pay.
However, they accept other mobile payment systems like Google Pay and Samsung Pay.
Sorry that as of 2022, we’re phasing out Apple Pay support. Customers can use the Sam’s Club app to make purchases, though, which will allow them to pick up curbside or scan items while they shop in stores.
Few reasons why Sam’s Club does not accept Apple Pay.
One reason Sam’s Club refuses to accept Apple Pay is the high credit card transaction fees associated with it. For every credit card transaction, Apple Pay charges an initial fee of $0.15, plus a percentage of the total amount (typically around 4%). This compares to traditional cards that charge a flat fee per swipe or run a percentage on each charge.
Another reason Sam’s Club denies Apple Pay is the inability to collect customer data, giving them opportunities to offer personalized notifications on future purchases and coupons.
